A career in the operating seat
Lorenzo spent his first decade at Intel in manufacturing, engineering, and technical marketing roles, where he helped start up the company’s first 300mm high-volume factory. He then ran operations for a high-performance-computing startup.
Since 2011 he has served at a U.S. national laboratory, rising through engineering, program management, and enterprise risk and assurance to chief risk officer and director. Today he leads operations and production in support of national security missions. Along the way he received the DOE Award of Excellence and was named co-inventor on a U.S. patent (2021).
